a break!!

I can't wait, going for a holiday at last. I won't even consider it a holiday, it's only 4 days but what the heck, I can't complain at least it's still a break. It's my first real break in 2 years. I'll be in the beautiful beaches of Bali to get a nice tan. Will be going with Hock. It sure feels like a "Mr. and Mrs. Tan Hock Seng" trip man. Haven't planned out any itenary for the trip, want to keep things casual and simple.

Went for AYA's INFEST gig last Friday. My band played one set. Other bands featured that night was Unabashed, Shelley Leong and the powerful Good Shepard Band. I have nothing but amazement at the Good Shepard dudes. Luke Sanjeev just gets better and better each time I see him play. It was cool to see Mo playing with the band. Their set was really great, their last instrumental song really blew everyone away. I was particularly impressed with Unabashed too. Liked their stuff esp their last song. It's too bad Malaysian Idol boy Andrew Tan couldn't feature for that band, but still Jason Ding and the boys did good. Shelley Leong's set was her usual self, friendly to everyone. My band I think send everyone to sleep lar. We decided as a band before the show that we were going to commit commercial suicide that night and play all our new materials which are totally not main stream music. I'm just surprised that the whole crowd didn't stand up and leave and come back for Shelley Leong's set. What surprise me more was that we sold 11 CDs, 2 Tees and some buttons. I thought it was going to be zero sales that night. The night was so sad lar for me and drummer boy Simon. Sue was being crowded by guys, debs had her share of people to talk to, MMU chicks were crowding round Justin, Keng had some guys looking at his pedals and making new friends with other girls and guys. Simon and I, sat by the corner waiting and hoping that someone will talk to us. Why is it also the drummer and the bassist gets no glory??

Last Saturday, I had the privilege to go for hospital visitation. Hock, Judah, Kim Siah and myself went to visit the children's cancer ward in UH. The kids were so cute and my heart goes out to them. I asked God than "Why do these little ones have to suffer?". I feel so sad for them, a whole life ahead of them and they don't even know if they can live through it. It just saddens me but at the same time I thank God that I managed to experience life to it's fullest. It's always a reminder to be thankful when I visit this places. Anyway, sadness aside... kids were really great. We made hand craft for them. The hand craft for the day was to make a hat. I was suppose to help the kids make it but I got so facinated with the hats that I actually sat down and made my own little hat. It was so cool, like going back to second childhood. Decorated my hat with stars, hearts, cupids, etc... colouring the hats were really cool man... my hat was yellow in colour. Felt like a kid than. Anyway, to me my hat turned out quite nice for a non artistic dude like me, I was going to wear it in YC the next until until Terry destroyed it. He said it looked like something that could be crushed. Man, try telling that to a kid.... emo liao.

Here are some pictures from the last weekend. As for now, BALI HERE I COME!!!!
