Just came back from the college leaders retreat and it was a blast. 10 of us (Serena, Valerie, Cherrie, Rachel, Hock, Judah, Chubes, Andrew Gooi, Scott and myself) spent the weekend in Peacehaven. I truely enjoyed myself over the. All we did was normal conventional boring stuff but the company there made it all so fun. It was a good time of bonding and getting to know each other better. Like, I didn't know there was an "evil" side to Andrew Gooi.
Most of us including me went up for the retreat expecting nothing because our schedule was just a rest and relax retreat. We the leaders only planned a short time of praise and worship at night and that was it. But the night worship and prayer proved that God can moved even when we're so relaxed and unorganised. The night prayer and worships were just a blast and I believe everyone got a revelation and everyone was touched. I was really touched in out so called night sessions. God moved and truly moved in our midst. It's like we start worship at 10:15pm and the next thing I know, we close worship and prayer at 11:45pm and it felt like we just prayed and worship for 20 minutes. I think that was the best highlight of the trip
Off course there were the not so spiritual highlights in the trip like how we the guys plotted to scare the girls and how it worked out so well. Honestly, I've never seen Serena and Rachel screamed so much before. Anyway, I won't tell you what we did because I think Judah or Miss In herself will tell you all in full details in their blog. I can just say that it was worth the guys' RM10.90. We had fun the theme park too. We sat on all the most boring rides there like the ferries wheel, the tea cups, etc but like I said, the company made sitting those rides fun. The highlight of the amusement park was sitting the Space Shot with Cherrie not once but twice. I tell the Space Shot was scarry, even our mighty Hock was affraid.
We had fun playing badminton too, highlight of the badminton games was off course seeing Valerie trashed Hock 15-2 and how Serena and Valerie nearly beating Andrew and myself in doubles. A typical guys vs. girls game and the result 10-15, 15-13, 15-11. Off course I was the un-gentlement dude who just kept smashing at poor innocent Serena. But I had too because if I didn't Valerie with her bull strength would have beaten me and Andrew flat.
Thanks again Judah for pulling this retreat together for us. Appreciate the effort and the amount of chances Hock and I always made.
Will be posting some pictures from the trip up later.
