i survived!!

I survived!! I survived co-song leading with serial stage destroyer/specs annihilator/band member pushing cum cinaman ah pek Tan Hock Seng (in the words of Adrian Yap) and I survived it without a crash helmet. How I thought I was doomed when I realised that I forgot to bring my crash helmet. On a more serious note, I thought the worship like "tak kena" but praise God that everyone else that I talked to said it was either awesome or good. Even Raymond said that it was great. What ever it is, praise God that everything turned out well as this was mine and Hock's first time song leading after almost a year. The feeling before praise and worship started was almost similar to the first time I song lead at Junior Youth Fellowship in 1994.

My band went for a gig at The Dwelling Place in Bukit Beruntung. The night was called "Impact Wave". We performed with 3 other acts, Juwita Suwito, Unabashed and Impact Band. It was really funny. After our sound check, the organisers said that we had about 10 minutes to grab a quick dinner at their pantry as they were going to start off with ice-breakers first. Just as we were digging into our food, we can hear the emcee going "Hello everybody!! How're you all, we have great acts tonight, we have her reverie, unabashed and juwita suwito, and now I present to you HER REVERIE"... we could not believe our ears, so with our mouth full and still chewing on fried rice, we walked up to stage still having part of our dinner in our mouth.

Juwita's performance was simple magnificent, her voice is so powerful and strong. Unabashed was good too, I think they sounded better this time round compared to Infest. There was this cute punk rock chick playing the bass for the Impact Band... a lot of potential for a 14 year old. Maybe she can take over my place when I leave the band. Classic moments of the night, Andrew Malaysian Idol Tan asks us to autograph his CD and Juwita Suwito asking us for autograph. I mean, what the heck?? We should be asking this people for their autograph and not the other way around
