How in just 3 hours, 3 episodes, non-stop gets you hooked on to a series. 24 was a series which I never liked. Tried watching it on Astro AXN channel back in KL but never quite liked it. The story line in season one never appealed to me because I just found it too lame to see 2 countries wanting to go to war because someone was tried to sabotage by sending a message to some president of some country to say I don't like your face. But last night, after watching 3 episodes back to back... I'm hooked on 24 now. Story line seems better, there's structured ending to a season and not you having to wait 24 episodes before you see an ending. Guess Heng Ian did a good job in getting me hooked.
Haven been sick all weekend long. Felt feverish and all, suppose to rest but didn't rest, not because I could not but more because I didn't wanted. Was out looking for work on Saturday and may have found one hopefully my timetable works out for it. If all turns out, I'll be working as a cleaner in a food court. Yup, those you see in food court pushing the trolleys and collecting plates and giving them back to the stall owners. It seemed like a DBKL non glamous job to me at first and really didn't want to be associated with it but the pay seems good (AUD$18/hour) and it should be a good humbling experience for me too if I want to continue for God to break me this year. I'm still asking God how much further does He want to break me? And I think He is breaking me in areas that I never knew I could be broken in. For example in the area of pride. Never knew I had that issue until I came here to Adelaide where God had to teach me and still trying to teach me. Like I said, I'm finding it hard to accepts jobs like a food court cleaner, a McDonalds crew after where I had worked the last 4 years. It's indeed a himbling experience and I do hope that I do learn at the end of the day. But God is good, He opened up another job opportunity with a guy at Kidzone. He's with a Audio & Visual Production Co. and looking for casual crew members to work as pack down crew members and they's train you as you go. Pay is not as much as the cleaners job (what a weird thing, a more glamour job with less pay) but you get hands on learning experience and training so you get to be a sound engineer one day in the process.
On another note on how God has been good to me last week. Finally I've settled into a ministry in Paradise Church. I've been praying which ministry to join in Paradise mainly between Solid Rock (13-18 youth) and Universe (internation students). Have been praying for signs from God and I don't know how much more clearer God could have given me the sign. I won't go into details of how God showed me because it's too long a story to tell due to chain of events that leads to it. Anyway, I believe God has placed me in Universe for a purpose this year and from what Pastor Adrian described about what he wants to do this year, it really sounds exciting and can't wait to work with him. And btw, to those who knows Pastor Adrian, he wants me to tell everybody that he is not a "kayu" as many thought he was when he came with Matt Heins 2 years ago for YC camp. He said he doesn't want to be labeled the "Benny Mun" of Paradise. Anyway, I told him that he has a lot to prove to show that he is not a block of wood.
Really looking forward to this week especially good friday. My first Good Friday not having to watch Performing Arts Department of FGA perform but instead Delirious.. I'm very excited. On a separate note, let me just tell you all that you guys don't want to miss Sonic Festival this year. I hear from great sources that the anchor bands for this year are a killer line-up.
