United Live ... Indie..???

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Just got hold of the new United Live album... they certainly have varied away from their conventional style of straight 4 chords and clean glaring overdrive to a a meloncholic atmospheric feel with a touch of post rock feel to it. It is certainly a fresh outlook in terms of arrangment from United Live. This album has certainly showed maturity from the last album. Although I can't say that there's any individual creative in the arrangements, but you still have to give it to United Live for having the guts to venture out of the usual radio friendly pop punk arrangements of God is great to elements of indie rock and post rock. The bassist has added some nice feel to the 1st track - salvation is here with some fleet finger playing.  However there are still tracks with the "chop" or "seal" of "This is a HillSongs Track" like track track 2 - tell the world and 5 - all for love and track . Tracks that are worth checking out is track 4 - All I need is you, Track 7 - There's nothing like and . Their arrangement of the old 1988 song Awesome God is nicely quite nicely done too.

YC song leaders, if you're reading... orders from your ex senior leader. Latest Planet Shakers album is BAN!!! For now teach only the latest United Live album. Seriously it's an album worth getting.
