breaking the routine

Finally finished the first term of college. It's like only yesterday that I arrived here in Adelaide and 9 weeks have passed by and I'm done with one term of bible college. 3 more terms and I'm out of here.

It's been a good 1st term, learnt a lot, made some casual friends, not close friends though in college. It's quite pathetic actually, there was this girl who had a party to celebrate 21st birthday. She invited the whole college except yours truly here. I thought maybe that was one case, but it happened again on Friday when someone asked me why didn't I go for so and so's party, I was like "I wasn't invited??". Maybe it just doesn't pay to be the only Asian in the college. The only I get called for is to vacumn the floor, carry the chairs.. Just like Ian put it, we Asians are cheap labour to them just like the Banglas are cheap labour to us Malaysian. I swear, no more Bangla jokes.

I really want to thank the girls (Sheena, Gracie, Sun and Mel). They came to our boy's home on Friday and stayed with us over the weekend. The girls spoiled us guys silly. They cooked, cleaned and baked for us guys whole weekend through. We guys slept in on Saturday while the girls I heard woke up and 8am and started to clean the house. I've never seen my house's moldy toilet so sparkling white before. The girls really cooked for us guys such a fantastic meal. And they didn't do it once but twice. I've never eaten so well since I came here. Overall, it was one nice FGA fellowship over the weekend. On the record, it's been my most fun weekend in Adelaide. Nothing beats having your own people all under one roof, making noise all night through, trying to video tape Ian doing *blip* *blip*. So yes, thanks girls for spoiling us guys crazy. I hope you all will do it again.

I played for Paradise West's service today for the first time. Think I played my worse ever but thank God everyone else thought was good. Great weekend, great food, great company.

Only thing that spoiled the weekend was, Manchester United loosing to Proton Norwich 2-0.
