Sense of excitement???

First of all, Gong Xi Fa Chai to all. It's been a hot hot and boring boring Chinese New Year this year. Just a few occasional going out with friends but generally haven't been doing anything fruitful for the last few days. I have just basically been glued to the TV. I think I made my Astro subscribtion so worth it.

Than came today where I thought I was finally going to do something useful. You see, there's this Open Mic thing going on in No Black Tie this Thursday night and I just mooted the idea to Terry that since he is not going for Delirious, why not he put up a show... to cut the story of our conversation, Terry and I agreed that we'll do the open mic session with Keng Lee and another drummer friend. Terry and I were so excited because finally for both of us... days of doing nothing, we were finally going to do something useful... practice for a gig. I mean hack lar... Terry specially wrote a song for this Thursday night.

So Terry and I, so excited like kids about the gig this Thursday.. and for me, I was really excited because I really wanted to play in a gig before I go back to Adelaide... so beggars can't be choosers, this open mic session is good enough lar.. and what more it's in NBT, can check out the cute upper class chicks there. Who knows.. maybe I can get hooked for the night because of my sensational playing.. so with all these thoughts... we practiced real hard on the same night at Keng's Studio.

Terry's song wasn't simple but had lots of potential, all 3 (Keng, Terry and myself) was really into the practice already.. Keng was in the zone with his ideas already and I was about to put finishing touches to my bassline when "THE CALL" came. The organisers called Keng and told him that NBT got raided 2 days ago and thus the gig this Thursday was cancelled.

I leave it to you all to imagine how we felt after receiving the call.
