England is through to the quarter-finals thanks to super boy wonder Wayne Roo-ma-ney. Again this young dude single handedly won the whole game for England. It's weird, England always has to rely on one young wonder boy to win matches for them. 4 years ago was than wonder Michael Owen but now he is way out of form and is no where compared to Rooney. I wonder who'll be the next wonder kid 4 years down the line when Rooney goes through a bad spell. Anyhow.. Rooney is the man of the moment.
I got up late for the match because I came late from the MPO (watched Count Basie). Woke up 10 minutes into the first half and I was "@#$#@$!!! England down 1-0". But I was so sleepy, so dozed off here and there... but saw scholes header and rooney first goal.. can't miss lar.. the first 2 goals were 5 minutes a part only.
I must have dozed off before half time ended because when I woke up.. I thought I heard shireen sidhu said something like "England 2-1 over Croatia and going into the quarter-finals for the first time outside of England". I thought I missed the whole second half and went full on to sleep thinking England won the game 2-1. I thought it must have been a close match. Woke up to find out the score was 4-2...darn!! missed the whole second half.
Whatever it is...!!! ENGLAND is through to the knock-outs!!! watch out Portugal!!! Rooney mania is going to hit you soon!!!
