taiping

The weekend was very eventfully spent in Taiping. But first to last Friday, my band her reverie took part in SIB's Overloaded Battle of the Bands. 2 other FGA bands took part too, they were Function Z and Hidden Confessions.

Congratulations to Hidden Conffesions for winning the overall prize. My band got the best bandging category. Overall, FGA bands took everything. If they had a second prize for bands, Function Z would have taken it for sure.

Anyway, back to the Taiping trip. First of all, you guys that went for Taiping, thank you all so much for serving with all your hearts and making the trip interesting. What you all didn't know was that I was actually feeling quite down emotionally before the trip but mixing and rubbing shoulders with you guys really lifted my spirits and it was like as if I totally forgot what I was going through and that was because God used you all to lift me up and I want to thank you guys/gals who went to Taiping for letting God use you to minister to me.

The Taiping trip was a blast beyond a blast, I won't journal the whole trip down because the rest have done a good job with that. Thanks Darren, you did a great job to pulling this whole trip together. Chu Yaw and Raymond, you guys were great with the music workshop coordination. Isaac and Daniel good job with the guitar workshop but next time learn up your chords earlier and not 5 minutes before worship = ) I'm old dy, cannot take the heart attack. Sue Ann and Willie, sorry you had no one in your workshop but you two made the difference for Sunday worship. Gracie "boxer" Foo and Jo, good job with your workshops, you two were great in helping Darren with the creative arts workshops. Last but not the least, Creez Chan... thanks for making the trip worth while for all of us. Thanks for all the help and life you gave us through out this whole trip. Being our tour guide and entertainment manager. This guy actually brought a PS and a TV for our entertainment pleasure. God was really with us in this trip.

I was suppose to share for Sunday service and Darren was suppose to come out with something because the speaker FFK, but last minute she turned up. I was praying hard that I didn't had to share, but funny thing was God answered my prayers but I was kind of dissapointed when I saw the speaker speak because I was like prepared everything to share already and last minute didn't get to. Ai yah.. reserve it for next time.

Anyway, thanks again people for making this trip fun and for lifting my spirit. You guys rock. I'll post up some pictures in the next entry. Now using dial-up a bit slow.
