Ever wished that some will not happen actually happen. Well that basically sums up the whole of last week. My immidiate boss got fired, not because she was incompetent or not performing, simply because she was too good at what she does. Now my new boss is.... HOBS!!!! What crap man..!! Just in case most of you have forgoten who Hobs is, he is a "dump numskull who knows nothing who just so happen to have white skin" that my company hired. He is so "successful" in the company simple because he just knows how to shine shoes. It's really like a nightmare coming true.
Friday was my first day reporting to Hobs and boy was it sure was a nightmare. Now I really know where does the fruit of the spirit really comes in. Anyway, Friday briefing by my MD telling me that he asked my previous boss to leave on 5 minutes notice. Yup!! you got that right, 5 minutes notice and that itself was "drama minggu ini". The screaming and shouting, I thought someone was seriously going to get murdered. Anyway, back to the briefing... MD says that Hobs is my new boss and that he will make my department more successful because he has the technical knowledge that my previous boss and I didn't have. When I heard that he had more technical knowledge than I nearly fell off my chair. How can my MD say that someone who doesn't even know how to format his hard drive, doesn't know how to partition his hard drive and someone who has the dumb idea to compresses 29 gigs of hard disk space someone more technical than me. I think most of you won't understand what I just said up there, but those in the IT line will understand. Basically those stuff I mentioned up are basic things that any dumb neeeeep weeeet who wants to work as an IT consultant should know. Story of the year baby!!! Life is so unfair. Someone who doesn't know how to format his hard drive and install windows gets to have the title Senior Security Consultant while someone like me who knows more than him is just a Security Analyst. Anyway, I brought Hobs for our first meeting together with a client.. and all "Mr. Who Has More Technical Knowledge than me" did was just repeat what ever I briefed the client in one word, he repeats it in ten words. Even the client whisppered to me after the meeting if I had to bring him for the next round of meeting.
God I need more patience and long suffering

note - a classic case of unlawful dismissal, pretty good ground for a labour court case.
kena fire is 3 months compensation, me thinks. MD does not come across as a sensible - what he did to your ex-superior he can very well do that again. may the Lord shine His face on you. ;)
