of expectations and expected

I just got my results back for the 1st term in Bible College. It all can be summed up as this. I have failed to rise up to the expectation set by Rosaleen. I failed to get 100% for all my assignments and thus cannot be the highest student in class anymore. First term and I've already failed to rise up to expectation. However, I did get 100% for 2 of my exams lar.

Went to help out in a juvenile centre today. It was part of field work for Bible College. It was really cool to hang out with those teenagers there. We organised a push cart competition for them. First time laying a track for push cart. It was a full blown race, tyre barriers and all. I formed a partnership with a college mate called Nathan. He pushed while I steered the cart. Our timing weren't too bad.. we clocked 11 seconds while the average timing was 10:85 seconds. So we weren't too far off, maybe it just proves that white man can't run and chinese man can't steer. We were actually up against more fit opponents. Nathan is like me, with a big tondi.

What was actually more eye opening was the kids there and the juve centre. First the juve centre. It's 10 times better than our Malaysian ones. It has aircond and heated rooms for the kids, a heated swimming pool, tennis court, computer room, pool tale, fussball table, basketball court, indoor footie court. I don't mind getting admitted to man. But what's so sad is the teenange boys there. They range from 15-18 years of age, their crimes range from murderers, rapist to car theft and shop lifters. They are so lost man and so messed up. It's so sad to see them so lost and so messed up. Most of them in there are very smart and must smarted and street wise than me. It's just such a waste that each time they go out, they end up doing the same stuff and get admitted again. How is it that teenagers can be so stubborn and not try and change. I guess this in one area of youth ministry and I really can't relate to. I got to chat with some of the boys and they seem like one of us but according to the worden there, it's just one big bluff they put in front of us. It just sends me into awe that a 15 year has to go through such a bad patch in life. It's really not fair to them as for some of them, it's not their fault that they ended up like this. Some of them just so happen to be in a stolen without knowing, and they are scared because they ended up in a jeve centre. I do hope to be able to develop more in this area of communitty service as I really want to do something for this teenagers.

It's the end of the break. I'm officially addicted to 24 and The OC. I think Misha Barton is pretty. There was one day where I straigh woke up and watched 24 for 17 hours. Almost finished one full season. That'll all for this entry. I'm off to watching season 2 episode 20 of The OC now.
