the nation mourns

Good bye First Lady, Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood. She's been the true example of a person that cares. Even at her last hour, she asked about people and to take care of the people. As a family, they are the role model, a true example of a close knit family, an example Malaysians need to follow.

I don't why I've been so caught up about the passing away of the First Lady, but I guess, it's because I have been a true admirer of Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi's leadership and administration that you would observe his wife as First Lady. I admit that I had my doubts of her as first lady, but in her two years as First Lady, she has indeed immulated her husband and won the nation over with her caring and "other's first" attitude and character.

The nation really mourns the death of not just a first lady who must show that she cares, but a human being that really sincerely places the needs of others first.

I like the way Datuk Seri Abdullah described his wife, "my #1 supporter" and she described herself as "my husband's #1 supporter". My heart goes out to him for loosing his #1 supporter. I hope one day I'll be as bless as Badawi to have a #1 supporter for myself. But for now, my condolences to Datuk Seri Abdullah and his family. It is indeed tragic to loose a wife and mother.

I sometimes feel selfish for being this way. I always ask God, should I get married one day... can I be the first one to go? I don't I could bare being alone. Even right now, my #1 supporters, my mom and dad... I even ask God, should I get married... can I still go ahead of my parents and wife... that way I never have to suffer the hurt of loosing your loveones. I don't think I'll be strong enough to take it. Hopefully when the day comes.....  I will.

True enough, it's better to go first than ur loves one, but from my experience, when you loose somebody you love so much, you will start appreciate those that you never thought of appreciating ...and view your life in a different perspective.

hello anonymous, I guess maybe I see where you are coming from of appreciating those you never thought you appreciate. Loosing someone would also act like a curtain being lifted and you find someone else or a whole bunch of people behind that curtain.
