the bittersweet symphony

I've heard great reviews about the legendary maestro Darren Ong, that's why I came back all the way from Singapore just for this recital. I chased busses and taxis just to be here this week for what I hear is going to be an explosive time with the maestro.

Darren according to Rejoice magazine is the most creative young person of our time. Having written and produce great musical plays such as Once Upon a Love story, he's taken time to do something that is very much from his heart, to graduate from Sedaya and hence this not to be missed recital. It promises the very best of Darren Ong, an accomplish pianist and keyboardist. In a recent interview with The YC Times, he said "It's going to be fun and filled with excitement, I promise a night of fun and excitement, you'll ramba with my samba and get chills from my Jazz and counter your blues with my musical blues".

Darren will be backed by an accomplish band of musicians from all over the Klang Valley. Drummer Rose G (sister of Sheila G) and guitarist Joe Loy Satriani is very sought after in Europe, Australia and Asia. Bassist Raymond Laboriel is a very sought after sessionist, having sessioned on RTM1 and didn't get paid a cent. Vocals is by the legendary Terry Yeow who brought a band from the brink of a Heartbreak to a constant beating Heartbeat. The band also features Isaac Joe Hendrix, an up coming guitarist in his own right. He has taken inspiration from such great guitarist as Man Kidal, Julian Mokthar, Bala, Jimmy Hendrix and Joe Loy Satriani.

The best part about this whole night is that it's free. It something Darren wants to do for the communitty because he just wants to share his love for music. A not to be miss musical extravaganza.
