finding a place in an unknown land

It's been 2 weeks here in Adelaide and I've more or less settled into life here or so I thought until Zie and Sheen returned. They just brought about the holiday mood in me again that I actually put off one assignment and actually totally forgot to finish one assignment for college..ooppss... I'll never be top scorer here in Paradise College (PCOM). Why did that 2 Asian goons had to top score in PCOM last year.. hai yah!!

Anyway, college has been great. I've learn so much in the last 2 weeks. The lecturers here have been fantastic. There's these 2 lecturer, incidently they are the 2 most senior lecturers in the college, one is the principal Pastor Greg Johnston and the other is Pastor Paul who was one of the founding member of PCOM. This two always have a go at each other like Unc Mike and Unc Daniel Singh fighting. At each of their class, they'll both take 5 minutes to "kena" each other. Both will always come in to class and start "so I heard pastor Greg took a go at me??" and than the other lecturer will come in and say "So I heard that pip squeek pastor paul took a go at me??".. it's really so funny to see 2 old man having a go at each other in their classes. They are so competitive that Pastor Greg related a story about both of them having to conduct a prayer ceremony during a church member's wedding. One had to give the opening prayer and the other had to pray for the bride and groom or something. So they both challenged each other to see who could pray the best prayer. They got so competitive that both actually "bribe" students from PCOM to say to the other that "oh I thought pastor Paul's prayer was the better one" or "Oh I thought pastor greg had a good opening prayer.." and man you should see how they "kutuk" each other's prayer... I seriously have not seen 2 50 year men lashing at each other like that.. it's hilarious I tell you.. so yeahh.. anyway my point being that classes have been a good and fun.

Only downside about college is that I've been finding it hard to make friends. So I'm still sipping coffee alone during the breaks. Besides that, I'm playing the guitar for Chapel tomorrow, my first time, looking forward to it but feeling nervous about it as I've not played guitar in ages and I'm not too familiar with the Paradise songs, sure hope all turns out well. Just hope that they don't sing some lame PS song that has a starting line of "bu dup pup pup pow".. man I mean how do you worship to that?? let along play to it..

It was really hot here in Adelaide yesterday so we decided to go to the beach. thought could get a chance to "cuci mata" but ended just seeing 2 guys make out.. man it was disgusting.

till the next blog.. assignment time.. yes it's back to school for me.
